Hi, my name is Jacob. I have over a year of tutoring experience with Art of Smart Education, where I developed strong skills in understanding each student’s needs and explaining concepts clearly. I achieved an ATAR of 96 and am currently studying Engineering (Honours) at UQ. My academic background, combined with real tutoring experience, allows me to break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps.
My approach to tutoring is focused on understanding, not memorisation. I aim to help students truly grasp concepts so they can apply them confidently in exams and real situations. I also prioritise clear and relatable explanations, adapting my teaching style to match how each student learns best. Building confidence is just as important as improving marks.
Finding the right tutor is important, which is why I offer the first lesson completely free. This gives you the opportunity to experience my teaching style, ask questions, and see if we’re a good fit before making any commitment.
Lessons are priced at $50 per hour for in-person sessions (available for students in Drewvale) and $45 per hour for online sessions. I also offer a bootcamp discount where we lock in 10 lessons with the discounted price of $45 per hour. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash for in-person lessons, and via bank transfer for online sessions.
